Prepare for Upgrade

Make sure to follow Preparing for Upgrade before applying the upgrade.

Cell Environment Upgrade Steps

Upgrade the Cell Environment’s servers in the order specified below:

1. Upgrade the cell manager first (by following All-in-One Upgrade).
   When the cell manager upgrade is complete, only the following services should be up and running - MonTier-Derby, MonTier-es-raw-trans-Node-1/2/3/4 (the Web Console will be unavailable).
   At this point, do not start the other services manually on the cell manager.

2. Then, upgrade all cell members (by following All-in-One Upgrade).
   The upgrade of all cell members can be done in parallel.

3. Reboot the cell manager if it is installed in Appliance mode or start the cell manager services using the /app/scripts/app-util.sh ("Start All") if it is installed in Non-Appliance mode.
