The remote WSDL promotion refreshes the service's WSDL, or replaces a current remote WSDL address with a new address.
Initiating a New Validate or Promote Remote WSDL Request
Choose either Validate Remote WSDL or Promote Remote WSDL from the DevOps Services List to initiate the process
Changing a service with Local WSDL to a remote WSDL or vice versa is not supported
You may or may not be able to enter a new remote WSDL address, depending on your permissions
Click on Execute to send the request
DPOD's internal process will monitor and collect pending requests every one minute.
Validation Flow
- DPOD will use a temporary domain on a monitored device that was chosen and created by the admin.
- DPOD creates a temporary service on the temporary domain that points to the remote WSDL.
- The new temporary service will be created without any front side handlers, so it will not be accessible.
- After creating the temp service, DPOD will check the DataPower's WSDL compilation status of the temporary service.
Promotion Flow - Remote WSDL Promotion (Same Address)
- Run the validation flow - continue to step 2 only if the validation was successful
- Perform a DataPower WSDL Refresh
Promotion Flow - Remote WSDL Address Change
- Run the validation flow - continue to step 2 only if the validation was successful
- Export the original service
- Change the WSDL address in the export
- Import the origin service again.
- Check the WSDL status and the service operational state
- If the service is not up or the WSDL status is not okay - try to rollback the operation by importing the service again with the original unchanged WSDL address
