In order for DPOD to be able to gather the information it requires, it enables various features and creates several objects in the gateway.

The table below details the objects and the methods you can use to undo these changes.

XML Management Interface
(default domain)

Update

Upon a user request from the Web Console (clicking the "Setup Syslog" on a device), the XML Management Interface configuration is updated to the same configuration described in Prepare your Monitored Devices:

  • Enable SOAP Configuration Management.

  • Enable AMP Endpoint.

  • Enable SLM Endpoint.

  • Enable WS-Management Endpoint.

On the gateway's Web GUI, in “XML Management Interface” screen, change the configuration to the desired one.

Statistics Settings
(default domain)

Update

Upon a user request from the Web Console (clicking the "Setup Syslog" on a device), statistics are enabled.

On the gateway's Web GUI, in “Statistics Settings” screen, disable the statistics.

Statistics Settings
(application domains)

Update

Upon a user request from the Web Console (clicking the "Setup Syslog" on a domain or for all domains), or when DPOD is set to automatically setup Syslog on new domains, statistics are enabled.

On the gateway's Web GUI, in “Statistics Settings” screen, disable the statistics.

Host Alias
(default domain)

Add

Upon a user request from the Web Console (clicking the "Setup Syslog" on a device), the following host aliases are created:

  • MSC-<env name>-<ID>

  • MonTier_LogTarget_Source

  • montier-wsm (on the first creation of a WS-M subscription)

On the gateway's Web GUI, in “Host Alias” screen, select the host aliases and delete them.

Log Category
(default domain) 

Add

Upon a user request from the Web Console (clicking the "Setup Syslog" on a device), the following log category is created:

  • msc-mon

On the gateway's Web GUI, in “Log Categories” screen, select the log category and delete it.

Log Category
(application domains) 

Add

Upon a user request from the Web Console (clicking the "Setup Syslog" on a domain or for all domains), or when DPOD is set to automatically setup Syslog on new domains, the following log categories are created:

  • api-mon

  • api-mon-2

On the gateway's Web GUI, in “Log Categories” screen, select the log categories and delete them.

Log Target
(default domains)

Add

Upon a user request from the Web Console (clicking the "Setup Syslog" on a device), the following log target is created:

  • DPOD-MSC-<env name>-system

When deleting a monitored device via [Manage → Devices → Gateways → Delete Gateway], make sure to check the option "Delete Syslog logs targets from device" in the confirmation window.

Alternatively, on the gateway's Web GUI, in “Manage Log Targets” screen, select the log target and delete it.

Log Target
(application domains)

Add

Upon a user request from the Web Console (clicking the "Setup Syslog" on a domain or for all domains), or when DPOD is set to automatically setup Syslog on new domains, the following log targets are created:

  • DPOD-MSC-<env name>-1

  • DPOD-MSC-<env name>-2

Yes, when deleting a monitored device via [Manage → Devices → Gateways → Delete Gateway], make sure to check the option "Delete Syslog logs targets from device" in the confirmation window.

Alternatively, on the gateway's Web GUI, in “Manage Log Targets” screen, select the log targets and delete them.

Log Target

Add

Upon a user request from the Web Console (clicking the "Setup WS-M" on a domain or for all domains), or when DPOD is set to automatically setup WS-M on new domains, the following log target may be created:

  • DPOD-MSC-<env name>-3

Yes, when deleting a monitored device via [Manage → Devices → Gateways → Delete Gateway], make sure to check the option "Delete Syslog logs targets from device" in the confirmation window.

Alternatively, on the gateway's Web GUI, in “Manage Log Targets” screen, select the log targets and delete them.

XSLT File
(application domains)

Update

Upon a user request from the Web Console (clicking the "Setup Syslog" on a domain or for all domains), or when DPOD is set to automatically setup Syslog on new domains, the following XSLT file may be uploaded to the gateway:

  • local:///<Domain>/isp/api-mon.xsl

On the gateway's Web GUI, in “File Management” screen, delete the file.

Certificate Monitor
(default domain)

Update

Upon a user request from the Web Console (clicking the "Setup Certificate Monitor" on a device), certificate monitor is enabled and set with the interval and reminder time.

On the gateway's Web GUI, in “Crypto Certificate Monitor” screen, disable the certificate monitor or change the configuration to the desired one.


Web Services Management Agent
(application domains)

Update

Upon a user request from the Web Console (clicking the "Setup WS-M" on a domain or for all domains), or when DPOD is set to automatically setup WS-M on new domains, the Web Services Management Agent configuration is updated:

  • Maximum buffer memory is set to 102400

  • Capture mode is set to “All”

On the gateway's Web GUI, in “Web Services Management Agent” screen, change the configuration to the desired one. Be aware that this may affect other WS-M Agent subscribers other than DPOD.

WSM Agent Subscription
(application domains)

Create

Upon a user request from the Web Console (clicking the "Create" on the “Create WS-M Subscription” page), a temporary subscription will be created for a predefined amount of time (usually for a few minutes).

The subscription is automatically deleted by the gateway when expired.

API Probe Settings

Update

Upon a user request from the Web Console (clicking the “Setup API Probe” on a device or on an API-C domain), the API Probe Settings configuration is enabled and updated:

  • UserSummary is set to: Enabled by DPOD MSC

  • MaxRecords is set to 1000.

  • Expiration is set to 60.

  • GatewayPeering is set to the Gateway Peering the user chose.

On the gateway's Web GUI, in “AP Probe Settings” screen, disable the configuration.
