Special Steps for Users of Kibana in Non-Appliance Installation

  1. DPOD 1.0.15.0 introduces Expert Mode dashboards which are based on OpenSearch Dashboards.

  2. If you are using Kibana on a non-appliance installation, and would like to keep your existing dashboards, please continue with the below steps.

  3. Backup existing configuration by exporting the saved objects of Kibana.

  4. Uninstall Kibana rpm from DPOD server (in a Cell environment this would be the cell manager).

  5. After upgrade to DPOD 1.0.15.0 is complete, if the previous Kibana dashboards have not been preserved, import the Kibana backup to Expert Mode dashboards.
