Install DPOD Light Edition
The Developer Edition is aim to assist Technical presale, DataPower developer that want to assist to run on their Development Workstation and limited functional Proof Of Concept. This installation will not allow multi-node configuration and is not planned to support any performance of more than 2-3 TPS.
What are the major differences?
- Installing Developer Edition is the same as GA Edition and has all its components. However there are some few differences :
- Less HW & SW requirements
- Limited configuration
- One extra post installation step
How to Identify?
- Developer edition can be identified by :
- The ISO filename should be IBM_DataPower_OpDashboard_Dev<version>.iso
- CentOS installation screen will show Developer Edition
- One configuration setup for development that exists only in the Development ISO file!
Less Hardware and Software Requirements
Load Type | Goal | TPS Limits recommended | Supports Virtual Env | Cores (1) | Memory (3) | Storage (GB) |
Developer (Light Edition Only) | To support evaluation, POCs and DPOD development | 5 | Yes | 2 | 3 GB | All: 15GB |
(1) These could be cores on an 80% utilized ESXi
(2) Local SSD preferred - should be located on a datastore separate to the other disks
(3) Best query performance is achieved by using reserved memory configuration
