Follow the steps listed below to install DPOD:

  1. Review the available Installation Scenarios.
Choose an installation scenario. For production, this would be either All-in-One or the Cell environment.

  2. Review the available Server Installation Modes.
Choose a server installation mode (Appliance or Non-Appliance).

  3. Review the Hardware and Software Requirements.
Choose a deployment profile based on the expected transaction rate that DPOD needs to process.
If there are more than 120 TPS (transactions per second), it is required to complete a sizing process by opening a support ticket with IBM Support.

  4. Review the Firewall Requirements and work with your network team to configure the appropriate firewall rules.

  5. Review the Operating System Requirements for Non-Appliance Mode and work with your Linux team to configure the OS properly (in case Non-Appliance installation mode is chosen).

  6. Install the DPOD instance based on the chosen installation scenario.

  7. Prepare a list of the monitored gateways with their IP addresses (normally their management IP addresses), SOMA/ROMA ports and login credentials.
Review the Monitored Devices Requirements and configure the gateways accordingly.

  8. Follow the Post Installation Tasks and start enjoying DPOD!
