DPOD's Licensing is based on the number of monitored devices connected Application Instance connected to DPOD and managed by DPOD.

A Monitored device is any IBM DataPower Gateway whose version and edition is supported by DPOD.

The following are examples of monitored devices Application Instance:

  • One instance of IBM DataPower Gateway Virtual Edition reporting to DPOD =  One monitored device One Application Instance.
  • One instance of IBM DataPower Gateway Virtual Non Production Edition reporting to DPOD =  One monitored device One Application Instance.
  • One instance of IBM DataPower Gateway Appliance = One monitored device reporting to DPOD =  One Application Instance.
