The screen is accessible by clicking [Manage→Customize→Dashboards Editor] from the The Navigation Bar.

Custom Dashboards Table

All This table includes all the custom dashboards that are defined in the system are listed in a tablefor the selected product view. Each row in the table contains the following information for a single custom dashboard:

NameThe custom dashboard's name.  
DescriptionThe description for this custom dashboard.
EnabledWhether this custom dashboard is available to all users from the Dashboards menu.

Adding a Custom Dashboard

The Click the New button on top of the custom dashboards table screen contains the New button at the top.
Click this button to add a new custom dashboard in to the system. You will need to set the custom dashboard's name, description and whether it's enabled.

Alternatively, you may create a new custom dashboard while adding a widget. See below for more details.

Reordering Custom Dashboards

Each row in the table contains the Move Up button which allows reordering of the custom dashboards, for example this . This will effect the order in which the custom dashboards are displayed in the custom dashboard's menu.

Editing Custom Dashboards

Each row in the table contains the Edit button which will load the Custom Dashboard Edit screen and provide access to system actions for the custom dashboard.

Adding Widgets to a Custom Dashboard

All charts and grids (widgets), that are part of the Dashboards section, have a settings button located at the top right side, which includes among other actions, "Add to Custom Dashboard".

When clicking on this menu item, you can choose which custom dashboard will include this widget. Choosing New custom dashboard allows creating a new custom dashboard directly from this dialog.

Filters in Custom Dashboards

When several widgets are combined into a single custom dashboard, the filters that are displayed are the ones that are supported by all the widgets in the same custom dashboard.

For example, if the System Errors grid (that supports only time and device filters), and the Service Latency chart (that supports time, device, domain, service and client IP filters) are included in the same custom dashboard, this dashboard will only support filtering by time and device.

Custom Dashboard Edit

The Custom Dashboard Edit screen is loaded for a custom dashboard when the Edit button is clicked from the Custom Dashboards Table described above.

You may alter the custom dashboard's name, description and whether it's available to all users.

Edit and Preview Custom Dashboard's widgets

By clicking the Edit button, you may use the controls to resize/move and remove widgets from the custom dashboard.

  • Resize is done by clicking and dragging the leftright/bottom side of the widget while the mouse button is pressed.
  • The width is calculated in percentage and the height in pixels.
  • Each widget has a min-width and min-height, so resizing below those values isn't possible.

Before updating the changes you made, click the Preview button to get a picture of what your page the custom dashboard will look like.
The UI is responsive, which means that the widgets will fill the available horizontal space.

Delete a Custom Dashboard

Click the Delete button to remove the custom dashboard from the system.
