The only feature that is intrusive is the optional feature named Extended transaction that inject to the end of each rule of a Processing Policy a new Transormation Action that injects a correlation and writes one syslog message.

Does DPOD have a significant impact on service performance?
No. Since DPOD uses existing DataPower capabilities, a performance hit of no more than 5% is expected under normal operations. However, if the administrator enables message payload recording, significant resource consumption may follow, which is why message payload recording can only be enabled for a limited time period.
